The Michigan Women's Tax Foundation, created by the Michigan Women's Tax Association, is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for at least three scholarships:
The MWTF Annual Scholarship(s) of one to three awards up to $6,000 total. The scholarship was established to emphasize education by providing scholarships to female students who demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in academics and participation in extracurricular activities related to the field of taxation.
The DKSS CPAs + Advisors Scholarship in Memory of Sandra McCloud in the amount of $1,500. In 2023, the scholarship was established to honor a MWTA member who exemplified the values of the MWTA and demonstrated a commitment to improving the field of taxation through her dedication to her career as well as to being a mentor to other women in taxation.
DKSS CPAs + Advisors Scholarship in Memory of Clarence Arens of $1,500. The scholarship was established to honor the memory of the father of Laura Arens, a founding member of the MWTA.
The scholarships will be awarded to female students pursuing a career in taxation, and the winners will be announced at the MWTA's Annual Conference on October 29, 2025.
